The third edition of the Sivas International Film Festival concluded with an award ceremony. With its comprehensive program, between 12-16 May 2026, consisting of film screenings, panels, talks, workshops, and sectoral meetings, the festival aimed to contribute to the development of cinema culture and brought together many prominent figures from national and international cinema circles in Sivas.
The festival was attended by Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek, academics, directors, actors, students, and invited guests. Hülya Koçyiğit, one of the distinguished figures of Turkish cinema, and Tamer Karadağlı, General Director of the State Theatres, were also among the notable guests who took part in the event.
Prof. İsmail Arda Odabaşı, Dean of the School of Communication at our University, also participated in the festival as an invited guest.
