Our student Ahmet Bilgiç Ranked Third in Türkiye in the Inter-University Communication Ideas Competition
Ahmet Bilgiç, our 3rd year student in the Department of New Media and Communication, ranked third in Türkiye in the radio category of the ‘A Brilliant Idea Came to My Mind’ Inter-University Communication Ideas Competition.

In the 14th edition of the ‘A Brilliant Idea Came to My Mind’ Inter-University Communication Ideas Competition, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, RATEM (Professional Union of Broadcasters), and the General Directorate of Copyrights, our third-year New Media and Communication student, Ahmet Bilgiç, achieved a remarkable success by securing third place in the radio category.

Ahmet Bilgiç participated in the competition under the pseudonym "Bilenyum", focusing on the theme of combating piracy. His work drew attention to the challenges faced by artists whose creations, produced with immense effort and under difficult circumstances, are stolen through digital piracy. By presenting a fictional narrative, Bilgiç aimed to deliver a powerful message to his audience about the impact of these violations on artists and their struggles in the face of such injustice. His piece, emphasizing the disregard for artistic labor, was highly appreciated by the jury.

In this prestigious competition, which saw the participation of 1,775 students with 863 entries, there was fierce competition across five categories: television, radio, animated film, newspapers-magazines, and new media.

We wholeheartedly congratulate our student for achieving this significant success on behalf of our university and extend our gratitude to the academic staff and stakeholders who supported him throughout this journey.
