Born in Sri Lanka, Mujeeb came to Turkey at the age of 13 with a scholarship from the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation and began his education at Fatih Sultan Mehmet International Anatolian Imam Hatip High School. He then continued his academic journey at Ibn Haldun University, graduating with full scholarships from the Media and Communication undergraduate program and the Radio, Television, and Cinema master’s program. Mujeeb is now a member of the Media Relations and Content Management team at Baykar.
During his studies, Abdurrahman actively worked in the university’s media studio, gaining experience in various areas ranging from production planning and filming processes to mentorship activities and content development. Highlighting that his education at our university helped him enhance both his technical skills and hands-on project experience, Mujeeb emphasized the significant impact of courses such as documentary filmmaking, studio production, and photography on his professional career.
He stated:
“I had the opportunity to work with truly inspiring academics. The knowledge and experience I gained from practical courses form the foundation of the work I do today.”
Abdurrahman Mujeeb is continuing his career as a video editor at Baykar, one of Turkey’s leading defense and technology companies. As a member of the Media Relations and Content Management team, Mujeeb plays an active role in the production processes of various projects while contributing to the company’s content strategies. He shares the following message with İbn Haldun University students:
“Build strong relationships, keep your curiosity alive, and always put what you learn into practice. Don’t settle for what’s taught in class—research, follow global developments, and aim for continuous growth. Success follows those who are prepared and proactive.”
