The New Media and Communication Department has initiated the "Evening Meetings with Academicians" events with media students from the English and Arabic preparatory classes. These gatherings aim to provide students with insights into the expertise of academics and develop a fundamental perspective on the world of communication while continuing their language education.
In the first session of the Evening Meetings, the Head of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Karanfiloğlu, shared his experiences in the media sector and academia with the students. In his presentation, which focused particularly on marketing, he bridged the gap between sectoral practices and academic approaches, engaging in an interactive conversation with the students.
In the second session, Dr. Lecturer Hasan Ramazan Yılmaz conducted an in-depth discussion on cinema studies in academia. Yılmaz provided information aimed at enhancing students' interest and knowledge in the field of cinema.
The Evening Meetings with Academicians event series will continue in the coming weeks with the participation of different academics. These events will continue to support students' preparation for academic life and the communication sector.
