School of Communication of Ibn Haldun University Supports Youth through the New Media Academy
A cooperation protocol was signed between Ibn Haldun University and Arnavutköy Municipality for the “New Media Academy”.

A cooperation protocol was signed between Ibn Haldun University and Arnavutköy Municipality for the “New Media Academy” on September 16, 2025, which aims to equip young people with strong skills in media and communication. In addition to our Rector Prof. Atilla Arkan and Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu, the School of Communication was represented by Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Karanfiloğlu and Lecturer Abdülhamit Bolat at the signing ceremony.

During the ceremony our Rector, Prof. Atilla Arkan, delivered a speech emphasized the importance of young people being able to share their own stories and social experiences through new media, stating: “As a university, we are strongly supporting this project through our Faculty of Communication and our Continuing Education Center.” Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu underlined that the district’s young population is its greatest asset, adding that the New Media Academy will transform youth from mere media consumers into content creators and sector leaders. 

Established under Arnavutköy Municipality, the New Media Academy will provide a wide range of training, from radio broadcasting to social media management, digital content production, and video editing. Supported by certification programs, the academy will offer young people the opportunity to make a strong start in the media and communication sector.
