İbn Haldun University’s School of Communication held its Faculty Advisory Board Meeting on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, under the chairmanship of Acting Dean Prof. Mustafa Kemal Yılmaz. The meeting was attended by board members including writer and journalist Süleyman Gündüz, Elif Bulut (TRT2 Licensed Content Manager), Sümeyye Ertekin (TRT Haber reporter), Fulya Uysal (Pure Agency representative), and Prof. Aylin Göztaş from Ege University School of Communication. In addition, faculty representatives, academic staff, and industry professionals came together to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the past academic year and to discuss development areas for the upcoming term.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the implementation results of the updated curriculum, assessing the expansion of field trips, the strengthening of applied workshop courses, and revisions made in line with feedback from previous sessions. The board also evaluated the effectiveness of the 7+1 internship model, highlighting increased collaborations with institutions such as TRT Tabii and RTÜK. Supporting students in CV preparation, improving access to internship opportunities, and helping them adapt to the rapidly changing media landscape were also among the key topics discussed.

In the general evaluation session, several suggestions aimed at enhancing students’ academic and professional development were brought forward. Notably, the integration of real-world project simulations into the curriculum was emphasized.

The Advisory Board will convene again in November 2026 for its next annual evaluation meeting.
